Yesterday (Saturday) was the first day we were really aware of the smoke from the bush fires across the city skyline. It was otherwise a beautiful sunny morning but there was a definite burning smell outside and I guess it just brought it home to us that this is happening not very far away. Alan & I had gone out for a walk around Albert Park Lake with Ruby & Poppy and I took some pictures:
Mhairi had taken Ella & Charlie to the Aquarium and she was interviewed by one of the major news channels asking how she felt about the effects of the smoke on the children.
