Before I even start I know this is going to upset all of our Scottish family & friends especially as we define no more ‘warm’ weather as being temperatures below 20 degrees!
Anyway,Victoria’s warm spell ended yesterday with the maximum temperature falling below 20 degrees for the first time since December 8th. In Melbourne it only got to 17.7 yesterday afternoon with strong winds buffeting us in St Kilda. To do the maths means we had 123 days of temps above 20 degrees (previous record was 78 days). Today we are experiencing a windy and cloudy day with some showers – the forecast says we’ll reach a maximum of 20 but at midday we’re sitting at 16.2 and I have to say I felt cold in the playground this morning. I guess this is Autumn in Melbourne!
