A few of my blog readers have been asking of any recent places Charlie has fallen asleep so I need to post this one. We were on a 15 minute tram journey from home to Malvern one very hot afternoon and Charlie gave in, much to the humour of other passengers:
Last Sunday (February 13th) was Festival Sunday, the last day of the St Kilda festival with the whole of St Kilda alive with the party atmosphere. We took the kids over to Catani Gardens in the afternoon to the children’s area. The sun was shining and everyone had fun. Here are some pictures:
Ella had her hand painted with henna at the Hare Krishna village
Poppy, Ruby & Charlie had their faces painted
Fun on the rides
Ella in action (Charlie also had a turn but I don’t have a picture). There are some videos which Alan promises to upload….don’t hold your breath!!!
There was also a kids corner with drawing, play dough, art & craft. Such a family oriented day, love it!
This afternoon we went to Ewan’s birthday party in Cowderoy Park. Ewan is one of Charlie’s little buddy’s. Charlie had great fun with a treasure hunt and ‘pin the ben 10 on the rocket’. Ella had fun too because she is friends with Ewan’s big sister Eve.

Happy Birthday Ewan
I’m 1 day late with my post to wish Charlie’s best buddy Jake a very happy 4th Birthday. We joined in the celebrations on Sunday and Charlie was very impressed with his ride in the fire truck, although I couldn’t convince him to put on the gear. Here are some pictures:

And the Girls Turn
And Alan….not to be left out!!
Happy Birthday Jake!!

We went out for dinner with mum & dad and the kids on Fitzroy Street tonight, completely unaware of the warnings of flash flooding. The rain came on and within minutes Fitzroy Street was like a river and we were stuck. When we eventually got home it was to a flooded, kitchen, bathroom and 2 bedrooms.

And now the rain is on again so its off to mop up again!!
Today was Ella’s first day at St Kilda Park Primary School.
There were no tears only lots of excitement as we walked to school in the rain(?????), not the sunny day we’d hoped for! Ella happily led the way to put her bag on her peg and off she led me to her classroom to greet her teacher, Emma. She hugged and kissed me goodbye and off she went.

And with Charlie too
They’re in half days for the first 3 days and not in on Wednesday for term 1 to ease them in gently. Next Thursday is her first 9-3:30 day so we’ll see how tired she is then.
All very exciting!!
