That is a title I never thought I would write because although I love the freedom and adventure of camping, I’ve never thought past 4 nights with all the kids. Anyway, we headed to Halls Gap in the Grampians on December 28th and spent a wonderful 7 nights at Lakeside Tourist Park surrounded by great friends.
There were 26 of us in total, 14 of those were kids ranging in age from 4 to 8. It was fun to sit back (occasionally!) and watch their friendships strengthen and change throughout the week. There was never a dull moment as they swam in the pool, jumped on the trampolines, fed the native birds, had water fights, dug up scorpions and other bugs, went fishing, trail walks, swam in rockpools, played cricket and soccer and simply enjoyed their freedom to roam the campsite at their leisure.
